Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Taranaki (SVAT) is committed to keeping your personal information private. You may browse and access information contained within this website without providing any personal information. Where you voluntarily provide personal information, that information gathered from you will be treated as confidential, will be kept securely, and will not be passed on to any third party, except in the circumstances outlined in this policy.

When you contact us, you authorise us to store your details on our database so that we may provide appropriate care and assistance to you. If you wish to be removed from our database, you can email us at taranakisafeguardingadults@pasat.org.nz and we will take your details out of our system.

Images of the children and families that feature on our site are not permitted to be copied or saved. The people featured in our imagery have all given their consent to be displayed on this website.

 

The information that we collect

Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Taranaki (SVAT) operates this website. As part of our operations we may gather certain types of information about the users of our sites:

  • Personally identifiable information. This is provided by you when you fill out and submit our email contact form. Providing this information will always be optional for you.
  • Aggregated data. This information is generated by our systems as they track traffic through our sites. This information does not identify you personally and is not linked to the personally identifiable information that you may have provided.

 

Who we share this information with

We will not share the information that we collect with any third parties apart from in the following circumstances:

  • Your information may be shared with one or more of the associated organisations listed on our About page. A core principle of our work here at SVAT is coordinating an appropriate response for our clients between these agencies and organisations.
  • The information may be hosted with a service provider. Our agreements with them protect the information that we collect from any use by them that we have not authorised.
  • Your personally identifiable information may be shared with third parties when we believe in good faith that we are required to do so by law.

 

What else we do with the personally identifiable information

We have collected this information in order to provide the best possible service to you while you are visiting our site. To this end we may use the information that you provide for the following purposes:

  • To help provide any services that you have requested.
  • To offer the most relevant information suitable to you and your interests.
  • For any other purposes for which you have given permission.

 

What about Cookies?

In order to reflect the fact that our organisation is growing constantly, we reserve the right to change this policy at any time. We will notify site users of any changes to the Privacy Policy.
